"爱上你是我情非得已"

That line above meant a lot to me today. So, that special boy-girl relationship, just how special can it get?

When a girl is quiet - Millions of things are running in her mind.
When a girl is not arguing - She is thinking deeply.
When a girl looks at you with her eyes full of questions - She is wondering how long you will be around.
When a girl answers "I'm fine" after a few seconds - She is not fine at all.

When a girl stares at you - She is wondering why you are lying.
When a girl lays on your chest - She is wishing that you'd be hers forever.
When a girl wants to see you everyday - She wants to be pampered by you.
When a girl says "I love you" - she means it.
When a girl says "I miss you" - no one else in the world can miss you more than her.

Life only comes around once to make sure you spend it with the right person.

To the girls: Find a guy who calls you beautiful instead of hot. Who calls you back non-stop when you hang up on him. Who stays awake just to watch you sleep. Who kisses your forehead. Who wants to show you off to the world when you are in sweats. Who holds your hands in front of his friends. Who is constantly reminding you of how much he cares and loves you, and how lucky he is to have you. Who turns to his friends and says "that's her!!!".

Above all, guy or girl, always appreciate who you have in life. Remind them of how special they are to you. A simple gesture, or a little token. Life is never the same!

P.S. I received this little message in an email from an old friend today. All I have to say is, stop and ponder for awhile, is it worth getting into a relationship at where you are now, and what you are? Answer yourself, hope it makes sense.

A Happy 18th Anniversary

^A portrait of me, drawn by Yee Jie in his "Happy Birthday" card.

^That man in the picture looks disturbingly similar to that police sketch above, he must be the culprit...

After a healthy dose of holidays, a number of things hit me badly, presumably they're negative items, otherwise they'd be null. Firstly there was my Cambridge A-Levels first semester results, which turned out to be far worse than what I expected. And then there was a sudden depression just a few days ago.

Imagine what it would be like when someone says they'd give you the world, where they would lift you a million feet off the ground and push your hopes all the way up to heaven, and then thereafter they drop you like a fat rock. In a layman's words, it's called giving you false hope.

^That's the Strawberry Cheese Cake Shu Ling got me.

This way, I'd hang a tag on me which says "I'm a button, depress me for life". Nevertheless, I decided that optimism was a better choice than always dull and unhappy like that man who just got fired from his daily job. And then I remembered something, I'm finally turning 18!!! I can drink legally, and do some other things legally in Malaysia! (Whoopee!) First and foremost, I'd like to give a million thanks to all those who had wished me a happy eighteenth birthday (by greet or by sms or even by thought) and celebrated both with and for me as well! THANK YOU!!!

^This is no ordinary snake and ladders game. Bet it looks super-complex to the untrained eye. XD

^In the game, this "Dreadnought" unit has massive firepower, sadly, in real life, it's just a piece of plastic. XD

The day before, Shu Ling paced a far journey to my place, where I was greeted by her ever sweet smile and a Strawberry Cheese Cake as a birthday present. She also gave me a leather wallet too! Thanks Shu Ling! Thereafter, we went out to Waffle World for a short lunch and sadly that was all the time she had to spend with me for my b'day. How sad...

^This game makes Monopoly The Boardgame look childish.

^That's how Samuel feels after playing Twilight Imperium III.

^Alvin planning his master strategy to conquer the game.

And the evening after, Alvin and Samuel decided to crash at my place for a round of Twilight Imperium III (T.I.3) (some "Real Time Strategy" board game, but it's actually turn based, think StarCraft the board game) and spend the night at my place. Usually, girls are the ones having these "sleepovers", but us three did it as well, and it was fun to try finishing a 4-hour long round of T.I.3, and have McDonalds as supper too. :s I grew fatter thanks to that.

^I decided to give up and simply make stupid moves in the game after a few hours, but I managed to win somehow. XD

^That's Carl's Jr's branch in One Utama.

The next morning had us three wake up around half-past eleven, where we washed up and had Samuel drive us to One Utama to meet up with Guan Huan, Yee Jie and Chun Shiun. There, we had lunch at Carl's Jr. What I couldn't stand was the over-priced AND over-sized burgers there. Imagine RM20 for a proper set lunch, and a burger as large as your granny's sagging bun (singular as "buns" means both sides of the rear, XD).

^Samuel, Guan Huan and Chun Shiun enjoying burgers with 6-inches in diameter, and 4-inches in height.

^The "coolest" gang from PE1 in Taylors? Definitely. XD

Movie time came shortly afterwards, where we watched Wanted, and my gawd, does the movie rock big time. It's rather unrealistic, especially if you're a physics concious person. Imagine shooting bullets than can curve so that they'd hit unsighted targets, and even shooting a fly's wings off with a 9mm gun. Impossible? I've got absolutely no idea...

^Wanted, The Movie. This is one movie not to be missed if you're a fan of assassins! Hitman, The Movie too!

^Chun Shiun was begging us for some change to ride that kiddy hot-rod. XD

And then we had another three hours left to burn. Chun Shiun decided to take us to Neway for Karaoke singing (I know it's not right, and I can't sing, but what else can we do?) For some insane reason, the whole three hours had us singing emotional songs (yes, songs like Hero by Enrique Iglesias and LOADS of other lonely mandarin songs), which made us the "Los Lonely Boyz" there that time.

^Alvin was searching for the MOST EMOTIONAL songs he can find in the Karaoke's list.

^"Los Lonely Boyz" from PE1, hanging in a local Karaoke box trying to cheer each other up of our loneliness. XD

What was out of place after today's outing you ask? Well, mainly the one thing at Carl's Jr. where they had this slogan "She'll tell you size doesn't matter. She's lying." We all know what this means, don't we boys? (I didn't really understand until Guan Huan explained it to me with raised eyebrows, XD) What's worse, you'll see another slogan shortly afterwards, "It's gonna get messy". Heck yeah it is, that's when the thing's like 12-inches big or so, and after the climax of the "fun", it's getting really messy alright.

^Samuel was staring at Alvin as he was getting high on a cup of Sprite.

^Guan Huan showing off some pictures or messages to Chun Shiun? Careful! Samuel's peeking!

If you want to continue thinking "out-of-the-box" with Carl's Jr. slogans, there's more. Slogans like "Don't wear white." (especially if it's her first time, XD), "Please don't lick this poster." and "Screw the diet." are there for laughs. And then Alvin thought of something - if Carl's Jr. has their burgers at that price and size, what would happen if a franchise of Carl's Sr. (Senior) were to be opened? XD

^I've got nothing to say except think "out-of-the-box" and snigger all the way home.

^Yee Jie's made a comeback after leaving us Taylorians for INTI!!!

^They're all on a hunt for pretty girls.

Come to think of it, having such wonderful friends around to celebrate this "18th anniversary" is already good enough, but more fun was added to this "anniversary" of mine. I received some "super-cool" bag with carbon-fibre design from my parents, and then I bought myself two shiny silk ties (which I desperately wanted ever since last year). Fun fun fun, eh? Cheers~!!!!

^That picture came from Yee Jie's "Happy B'day" card for me. Fun mockery of me being a Polar Bear in class I guess. XD

Fond Memories Of Friendship

My face was covered in the mud of disgrace, and my limbs were aching from the fall on the hard ground. With no confidence to continue whatsoever, I looked upwards, I could see him smiling at me. He reached out his hand, and pulled me back to the ground.

He gave me a handkerchief to wipe my face clean, and patted me on the shoulder with a word of advice, to build my confidence back up to that level I was at. Now, I realized the importance of friends, where if they weren't there, I would've planted my face in that mudpie and suffocated myself to death.

"What are friends for eh?" he said, as he led me to start running on the Road of Life again. It's simply astonishing, how friendship works. Like how a see-saw works, if your side is low where you're down on Life, your partner will add downward pull to lift you up to the level of equilibrium again and vice versa.

Now, as I continue running down the Road of Life, I constantly see other friends in need of help, where I notice one special person with his face planted in the mud, and an empty strip of 24-Panadols in his hands (presumably, he consumed them). XD It wasn't just me who ran towards his aid, but others as well, where together, we held him back up and got his heart pumping and started him running again.

Which reminds me of the old days running with old comrades, its saddening that we've now left each other, separated by distant roads, just like that stupid poem named "The Road Not Taken" faced by each and one of us. As I looked back with distant sight, I see the old footprints still left there in the tracks, like unforgettable memories imprinted within our heads. When you look back at your tracks, do you see the same? I hope you do. Cheers!

Love Is Life, Life Is Love

Think of both you and that person you wish to get in a relationship with as two countries, with no political ties whatsoever. Being in a relationship is exactly like building a bridge;that special connection between you and your loved one. The two of you, like the two countries, will start off with political ties, where you'll build such bridges to close the indifference gap between you two.

After building this bridge, you're both together, and usually the connection would be strong enough to keep you two together, such that being apart for even a few minutes can be heart-aching.
But it doesn't end there once a bridge is built, because there's maintenance of the bridge itself to be taken care of, because you know that the bridge's condition is going to deteriorate every single second time ticks by.

You see, like a friend once told me, a relationship is like a two-way street. In the process of maintaining the connected bridge, the two of you will have to be interacting with each other;constantly "giving and taking" love or whatever closes the gap. If you do find yourself constantly tripping/falling for that someone, in such a way that things turn out to be a one way street, it's definitely a no-go.

And then there's always the question of loyalty and faithfulness. While in a relationship, never, ever take him/her for granted.
Because you'd have to embrace him/her and be thankful that you have him/her. If you're already in a relationship, don't ever split your attention to other guys/girls, unless you're not serious and plan to be a person who plays a fool in a relationship. Naughty naughty! XD

Ultimately, going for a relationship is all about keeping the connection there as long as possible, where no disconnections (like some lousy internet service providers, ISPs *ahem) happen at all. If possible, keep the relationship there forever in such that the love grows into something else better! Cheers!
